3 Things Thursday!

1. Why do I eat all the baked goods that I make? I love to cook and bake! It's what I like to do for me time! The problem is that I eat it! There is a saying, "Never trust a thin baker!"

2. Probably the Biggest News for my life is.....I am homeschooling next year! All 5 of my kiddos! I know this is not a good decision for training. However, I am so excited about the opportunity to teach my kids, and travel with them! There is so much history I want to show them, and this is my chance. So I am doing it!!! I have the best situation in the world, my kids love school! We live in an area where the school system is FANTASTIC! So I can't go wrong. If it does not work for one reason or another, I can just put them back in school! NO PROBLEM!

3. My garden is small, but I love to pull fresh veggies out for dinner! The kids seem to enjoy trying new veggies, if they are the one who picked it out of the garden! I have always wondered how weeding can bring joy...and I am finding it! I enjoy taking a few minutes to weed around my flowers and my garden!

  1. I love to bake too. Like you, everything I make is usually gone within a day or two! :)
Yay for homegrown veggies! I love our garden! Every day we're able to pull cherry tomatoes of it and use fresh herbs in our meals. Hopefully our cucumbers and squash will come in soon!

  5. Best of luck with the homeschooling. Sounds like you and your kids are all excited about it, so you're off to a great start.

Gardening and landscaping is one of my favorite relaxation activities. Best part about it is no electronics involved, just man vs. nature. Similar to why I got into running, before I started strapping on Garmins and fuel-belts, and heart monitors, etc, etc.

  10. I love to eat baked goods as well. One of big weaknesses unfotunately, luckily during the summer I hate to turn my oven on! Homeschooling 5 is an adventure - you are amazing! I'm seeing these years fly by with my own all of the sudden so I think it will great for you to have even more time with them! Good luck - it will be fun to hear how it all goes!

  15. The homeschooling will be a challenge but the time with your kids is worth any effort. I love gardening and relax my mind while busy in the garden. I leave the baking for people like you. I do help with the eating.

  19. I love homeschooling! I've been doing it for 5 years now, and there have been so many blessings in our family because of it. I especially love the flexibility. We take our vacations in the winter, and escape to a warmer place. Wishing you all the best!
