Hip Relief!

I have been a little frustrated lately...my hip has been screaming in pain!
In fact, I only ran 2 times last week and 2 times the week before!
I am not one to complain much about pain....I just figure everyone has it...so just do it!
But this hip got out of control!

I have only been to a Chiropractor once in my life!
I have so many friends who go once a week or at least once a month.
To me that just sounded like a BIG scam!
So I have stayed away!
Well, I needed to run...so I humbled my stubborn self and called the Chiropractor!
He did his thing...crack this...pop that and I stood up and it felt better.
Not 100% , but better!
I mean this thing has been killing me while I am laying in bed!

So I tested it yesterday.
I ran 7 miles...It felt about 75% better! That is all I need!
I am nervous to open up much...I can tell I am super hesitant!
But at least I am back in the game!

And I will be going back to my Chiropractor...maybe on a regular basis! =)

  1. I've thought about going to a Chiropractor a few times...are they expensive?

  2. I'm glad it worked for you! I have hip issues (a labral tear on each side, hey! a matching set), but nothing a Chiro can help with. I've been to them before, but they kind of scare me, so I don't go anymore. I'm glad you found relief.

  4. Glad to hear the Chiro was a success. Made my first trip to an Ortho yesterday, and going to first PT tomorrow to try and get my knee right post-marathon. Trying to embrace outside help as I start working towards my second race. Very curious to hear if you find the Chiro continues to help, as that may be another step for me down the line.

  5. I've never been to a chiropracter before, I've started to have some knee bother so maybe it's something I should try. Glad it's helped you and thanks for sharing :)

  7. As long as you are better and can run again. Doesn't matter what, as long as it works for you. Hope you are 100% better soon.

  8. I love my chiro!! I went to him 3 times a week during my last 2 pregnancies and he saved me from constant back pain. I also go to him when I get migraines. I've been to a few and he's the best I've found. Sooooo, if you go to one and aren't 100% wowed at your relief, shop around! :-)
