Help???

My quest for help goes beyond running!
Are you ready!

1. I am running a half marathon on June 12, but my favorite race ever is on the 5th. It is a 12.5 miler. My training schedule has me running a 10 miler on that day...could I get away with running the 12.5 miler...if I did not race???? Or....would that NOT be smart and be too much?????

2. I have so many great blogs I want to follow...but every time I try to follow them it pulls up my husbands profile. Has this happened to any of you? I am the one logged in and it is still doing it. I can comment under my own name...but I can't follow. How do I fix this?

I guess that's it!

There are some fun giveaways happening!

KALYX sports bra at Setting you free
If you leave a comment...or 5...do it under my name...I really need this one!!!!

Detergent and other cool stuff at 5 miles 2 empty
I would love to find a detergent that truly got the sweat smell out. I can't even smell my sweaty shirts next to my dear hubby's! (Shhhh, don't tell him...although I think he already knows )

Inperspire at Tall mom

You know what ???? I took today off! I don't know why...but my body just said, "SHERRI!!! I DON'T WANT TO RUN!"
And I think for the first time ever I listened!
Not the first time ever to miss a workout...but the first time ever to actually truly "listen" to my body!
Guilt Free!
That is success!
Our bodies will tell us what they need...if we will but listen!

Have a Great Workout this weekend!!!!

  1. Good for you for listening to your body! Yay for a day off!

    1. I think you could do the race. That said, I have plans to do my first and second marathons two marathons 20 days apart, so what do I know? But I would say - especially if it is your favorite - that you should do it. :)

    2. No idea. I am terrible with the computer minus the simple stuff.

    Have a fabulous weekend!

  3. Smart to take a day off and listen to your body...if more people did the same there would be a lot fewer injuries out there! As to your first question--you can definitely run that 12.5 as long as you really, truly hold yourself back. An extra two miles won't hurt, plus you could adjust with a couple fewer during the week in between. As to number two--technology escapes me, so I'm of no help!

  4. My 2 cents...

    1. Really depends on what you're half-marathon goal is... if really looking to run your fastest race possible on that day then there is a possibility that racing 12.5 the weekend before could take something out of you. However if you're just planning to treat the 12.5 miler as a training run race then the extra 2.5 shouldn't hurt (assuming you're the type of person who can hold themselves back after the gun goes off).

    2. I'm thinking that maybe it's a google thing. Blogger and Gmail are both under the google umbrella so this could be causing the problem. Try going to gmail.com. Does it automatically bring up your husbands e-mail? If so, log out, and then try joining sites on blogger again.

  5. Hi Sherri,
I think you could run them both. I think that you should maybe pick the one that you want to do good at and then just do the other one for fun...don't go all gang busters just enjoy running at an easy pace:)

I really wish I was a computer geek...I am not so I don't know what to tell you about the wrong profile popping up.

I am glad that you are listening to your body. I took yesterday off for the very same reason.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend:)

  6. I think you could definitely do the race and the 1/2 marathon too! Just think of the race as a training run and not as an actual "race" so you don't push yourself too hard! :)

  9. Run them both!!!! We run for the fun right? My philosophy is to do what I want....as long as it doesn't kill me! what is 2.5 miles extra anyway? I will be running a relay 2 weeks before my first marathon... probably not the smartest thing to do but it is my favorite race AND it is a relay with my bestest running buddies!!! So have fun!

Sorry I have no clue about the blogger issue! I feel lucky I am able to do half the stuff I get done! Me and computers do not usually live in harmony!

Thanks for linking up my giveaway!
